The former Fuji Xerox Tower at Anson Road is being redeveloped into a mixed development, comprising Newport Tower and Newport Residences. Owned by City Developments (CDL), this is a rare freehold mixed development.

Not only is it rare in being a mixed development, it is even rarer in its location. The Newport Residence floor plans are located at 80 Anson Road in the Tanjong Pagar area. Hence the site is within the Singapore CBD, and on the fringe of the upcoming Greater Southern Waterfront city.

The Newport Residences showflat was originally intended to open in mid 2023, but the launch was shelved in light of the latest round of cooling measures. That was because this is a luxury segment project that is unabashedly aimed at the high end (read foreigner) market. Prices are likely to reached highs of close to $4,000 PSF.

At that pricing, it is close to that of Wallich Residences nearby. Newport Residences is also close to two MRT stations, with the nearer being the Prince Edward station on the Circle Line, due to open in a couple of years time.

While the Newport Residence floor plans are not available yet, what is known is that the project will also have an office component, Newport Tower, and a commercial component, Newport Plaza, besides the residential component of Newport Residences.
